Naughty Kittens
10.31.06 (1:48 pm) [edit]AM and I often say that if you looked up the word "naughty" in the dictionary there would be a picture of our kittens but my boys took the biscuit this morning!
I was awoken rudely at 7am this morning by both Beau and Luke getting behind my bed and then crying. Bearing in mind there must be a 2 1/2 inch gap there maximum this took some doing! I can't wait until they're grown up and can't get in awkward places anymore!

10.28.06 (12:33 pm) [edit]The kittens are getting on really well, I am so surprised they have got on so well after only 2 days. Tash and Holly are still not impressed but Jasper is being a lovely big brother to them!
My mum came out last night to meet the new arrival and just fell in love with him. It didn't hurt that he gave her a big cuddle and then noticed her hoop earrings that he just had to play with!

10.27.06 (11:44 am) [edit]I had to do a spot of emergency babysitting yesterday and when I came back I had a call from the lady who was doing the home check and she said she could come over in 10 minutes!
It was slightly odd as she insisted that the kittens should really go out once they were old enough. We are against this because AM had 1 young cat named Eddie (who incidentially was grey and white) knocked over and killed and the indistructible Darcy Keanu Plant-Killer was knocked over too and had to have his pelvis sorted out at the price of £300 plus and this was a few years ago so goodness knows how much it would cost now! (He's grey sworly and stripy tabby).
Then I had to get a lift out because she rang after Monkey Boy could get out of work so luckily John and Anj dropped me there. They fell in love with him too! He's still going to be Bo but we are going to spell it Beau because he is so beautiful!
Later that night AM and Nig came out, and Nig said "he's not grey, he's blue like Buxton the Blue Cat", we're sure there's some Russian Blue in there somewhere so any ideas for a Russian middle name anyone?
Kitten News
10.26.06 (12:32 pm) [edit]After our sadness at losing our little baby girl (Nig came out yesterday and had a look and confirmed that we had lost Scully, not Mulder) we decided that we wanted to get a "playmate" for our little one and went out to Woodside where we got Holly and Tash from. We were introduced to a beautiful silver grey boy who we thought would be a companion to our little "girl" who was going to be called Hercules.
After the sexing and we realising we already had a little boy after thinking about it and trying to think of names that complimented each other and as one is dark and the other one fair, I mentioned to Paul what about Bo and Luke after the Dukes of Hazzard? As I said this there was an ad break in the middle of Stargate and there was an ad for the movie The Dukes of Hazzard. So Bo and Luke it is then....
Tomorrow we have a lady coming to the house to see if its suitable, after she sees all the cat stuff we have and the 2 stratchposts in the front room alone I think we should be allowed to have him!
Utter Devastation
10.25.06 (2:53 am) [edit]One of my precious baby kittens had a massive fit today and died in Paul's arms. What can I say? There is a slight hope that we may get one of his sisters or brothers from the same litter but I want a playmate for Xena (we renamed her as we couldn't see Scully without Mulder) as soon as possible. It makes me cry just thinking about them snuggling up asleep together.
My bro-in-Law Nig suggested that we let her sniff the "body" so that she wouldn't be constantly calling for him and, so far, its worked. I've left Paul and Xena asleep in bed whilst I've come down to post this. I don't think I'll be sleeping much tonight.....
Old Fashioned Movies
10.19.06 (1:58 pm) [edit]Monkey Boy caught me watching Saturday Night, Sunday Morning with Albert Finney last night and said "whats this rubbish?". It got me thinking about the difference between black and white and colour movies.
I personally can watch either, I've got "Rebecca", "Meet John Doe" and "You Can't Take It With You" stored on my Sky + to watch but obviously Monkey Boy prefers the new movies preferably with plenty of explosions and not too much story line to concentrate on!
Also the movie stars both male and female seem to be more glamorous than the ones we have now!
In other news anybody want two naughty kittens? Mulder has now taken a fancy to the big boy and girl biscuits, he's definitely the naughtiest of the two!

10.17.06 (5:21 pm) [edit]The dear old Beeb have just finished an adaptation of Jane Eyre staring Toby Stephens as Mr Rochester. I must admit to start with I was unconvinced, especially about the fact that frankly he was far too good looking and young to be Mr Rochester but he won me over in the end. I still feel they should have bucked the trend and gone with a ginger Rochester, they dyed that beautiful hair!
I think we all agree with the sentiment that we could push Jane out of the way and get in there!

10.17.06 (3:25 pm) [edit]I'd forgotten just how fiddly it is to muck about with this sort of thing, but at least everyone gets to see my kittens!
Scully is on the left, she has a little tiny white smudge on her nose and Mulder is on the right.
The cat at the top of the page is Indy, he's very nervous of people he doesn't know and obviously wasn't impressed that I took the photo of him!

Recent news - I am the proud mother of 2 9 week old black fluffy kittens named Mulder and Scully. Everyone who speaks to me says it sounds like I've had a baby the way they wear me out!
