Album Review - Love by The Beatles
11.22.06 (6:59 pm) [edit]I don't normally buy cds I normally waste all my money on dvds (normally starring ginger men!) but I had a £10 card at Virgin so I thought I would buy something I wouldn't normally buy.
Now I had the choice of the Greatest Hits of the Carpenters or this album. I love the Beatles but I wondered if I would appreciate the "remixes".
Its to coin a phrase "fab!". It makes the songs sound brand new and obviously some of them are now in stereo which makes a complete difference to how you are used to hearing them.
I wonder why they thought of doing this, mind you Paul could probably do with some money for his divorce settlment....

11.11.06 (1:50 pm) [edit]I know I talk a lot about my kittens but as I'm on sick leave they're the centre of my world!
I've been warning Monkey Boy for days that they will be up on the sides in the kitchen before too long. He, being him, nixed the idea saying that it would be weeks yet.
Yesterday Beau made it up for the first time. To get this totally in context because they are kittens we are trying not to let them eat the grown up cats food. Of course yesterday Beau found the grown up food! Luke has had the runs and we had to take him to the vet because his second eyelid was showing because he had the runs and we were told no food for 24 hours and that we should starve the other kitten as well!
To say there was rampaging going on was an understatement! I didn't like doing it but if thats what we were told to do thats what we had to do! So, last night we had to feed them on rice and boiled chicken. They virtually inhaled it.
Today I put the cat biscuits on the side as I normally do. I heard rustling to find Beau there, I used our water spray (remote punishment so they know they've done wrong but don't know who's punishing them, its pointless shouting they don't understand!) and put him down on the floor.
I went upstairs to use the bathroom and when I came downstairs I found Luke on the side sniffing around. He had already been naughty once today and now looks like a drowned rat because he refused to come down!
I rang Monkey Boy who was proud that he has made it up on the side but now the fresh circle of hell will begin!
Something Wicked This Way Comes.....
11.08.06 (7:46 pm) [edit]Now that the kittens are getting older they can get into more interesting spaces. I have a large gap behind my tv which Beau has already got into and I had to coax him out via the doors where the Sky + and DVD is kept!
Luke is definitely the ringleader although Beau makes a great wingman, he distracts us whilst Luke does the naughtiness. Luke has even made it into the fridge on the hunt for some food!
At the moment they are mooching around the kitchen area and every so often they make it into the front room to see if there is anything they can eat/fight/sleep on.
Repeating Myself
11.03.06 (2:03 pm) [edit]On looking at my blog (how vain rereading what I've already written!) I've noticed that one post has posted itself twice, either that or I'm just rubbish at this blogging lark!
As I am a twin I wonder if things repeat themselves around me as a matter of course.....
I'm the youngest by 5 minutes so my sister (who I know will not be able to resist putting a comment on this post) calls me the sequel not the original, and my brother likes to call us the clones as technically thats what we are! I always like to say that if I ever end up killing Monkey Boy (and I'm sure he will deserve it) after watching countless hours of CSI (all 3 flavours) I will say its AM's dna not mine as we have identical dna being identical twins!
Winter's Here
11.03.06 (1:12 pm) [edit]Now I know that its November and winter's on its way but all of a sudden its got really cold. Even Monkey Boy said that we will have to put the heating on in the evenings now! OI don't like going out in the winter when the heating is on at home and you can just doss about!
Mum has had the heating on for a couple of weeks, Indy (the cat at the top of the blog) has a hammock that is placed over the radiator in the front room, you can imagine how toasty that gets!
We were going out tonight but I don't think I can be bothered to get ready plus the fact that Monkey Boy has to get up at 3am to get to Cardiff for 7am for the trains on Saturday, also the fact that I've almost finished Granny's cross stitch and would finish it tonight if I stayed in.
New Computer
11.02.06 (7:17 pm) [edit]My very clever brother in law has rebuilt my computer and made it a lot faster than it was before in fact an abacus was probably faster!
The only problem is I've lost all my bookmarks and I can't remember where i used to go!
Kittens got Claws
11.01.06 (2:55 pm) [edit]Because my other cats are 11 years old I'd forgotten how much kittens actually scratch! My left leg and now my left hand are starting to become covered in scratches. I know they don't mean to do it but some of them bleed quite badly!
What I really want to know is why is it me that always gets scratched and not Monkey Boy? I suppose because I am home all day they are imprinted on me and don't interact with him a lot. I would like him to play more with them but its persuading him to do it!
